Whose Version Of Yourself Are You Showing Up For?

Nov 1, 2026

You probably can’t remember the first time you tried to ride a bicycle, but I can promise you that you fell a few times. Probably more times than your parents care to admit. 😂

Have you ever tried something new and just got it as soon as you started?

Most of the time, it doesn’t work out like that.

I’m in Vietnam right now, trying to learn some simple Vietnamese phrases, and I’m messing up everything. People are looking at me all confused, and I’m going back to Gemini like, “Say it for me one more time!” 😂

But that brings me to my point.

When you decide to build a business, you’re going to fail. You’re going to look crazy to other people. And sometimes, you’re going to look crazy to yourself.

A lot of people struggle to show up as the person they want to become because they’re too busy trying to be the version of themselves that everyone else wants them to be.

Building a business takes time. There are ups and downs, pivots, lonely nights, sacrifices, and investments. And yes, there will be seasons when you look pretty foolish while you’re figuring things out.

THAT’S PART OF THE PROCESS.

So you have to decide: WHOSE VERSION OF YOURSELF ARE YOU SHOWING UP FOR?

You can’t build your life around showing up for your spouse, your cousin, your grandma, or your uncle while neglecting the person God has called you to become.

At some point, you have to show up for YOURSELF.

And if you’re not in a partnership, you still have to show up every day with the right mindset, convinced in your heart of what you’re called to do, and UNAPOLOGETIC about what you’re building and what you’re going after.

You have to be willing to look foolish while you learn. You have to be willing to fail while you grow. And you have to stop letting other people’s opinions dictate how much of yourself you’re willing to put out into the world.

So I’ll ask you one more time:

WHOSE VERSION OF YOURSELF ARE YOU SHOWING UP FOR?

This is not the time to shrink back. It’s time to become the person you know you’re capable of being.
