I was sitting there with my phone down, getting ready to take a shower, when something hit me: deposits.
I was supposed to have put my phone down almost an hour earlier, and sometimes I ask God, “Why does my mind work like this?” 😂
But when I think about deposits, this is my thought process.
I feel like life is about making deposits in so many different areas.
When I think about investing, it’s not necessarily about making huge deposits. It’s about asking myself, can I consistently put $150 a week into the S&P 500?
When I think about deposits, I think about how I can serve my wife today.
I think about whether I can put at least $25 toward an emergency fund or a savings account.
I think about how many blogs I can put on my website today and share on social media.
I think about how much content I can put out on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and my Facebook business page that will serve the people God has called me to serve.
I think about how many steps I can take today. Even if I don’t hit 10,000, how many can I get?
I think about how many people I can smile at before the end of the day.
I think about whether I can take an entire verse from the Bible, learn the context behind it, and listen to it every day until I fully understand it.
There are so many things I think about when I think about deposits.
And here’s what I want you to understand: It’s not always about how much you put in. It’s about making the deposit consistently.
You may not see the results today. You may not even see them next week. But every deposit is an opportunity to build something over time.
And my hope is that after reading this, you’ll start thinking about deposits the same way.
So make as many deposits as you can, in as many areas of your life as you can, and do it as often as you can.
