Why Are You Not Doing It?

Nov 2, 2026

Would a child say, as soon as they start talking, “If I can’t tell what I’m going to be at 20, then I don’t want to grow up”?

Have you noticed that people approach life like this now?

What do I mean?

I know this guy who is brilliant, but he thinks his brilliance is only meant to be used working for somebody else. And there’s nothing wrong with working for somebody. But if he just took a chance on himself, the same things he does for that company, he could do for himself.

It’s funny to me that people don’t take risks with their own lives, as if they have more than one. As if we don’t age and get older.

I think it’s because we want to see the entire staircase before we take the first step. We want security. We want certainty.

But that’s not real life.

You can walk into your job tomorrow, and they can fire you. And the next thing you’re going to have to do is figure it out anyway.

That’s entrepreneurship, too.

And I’m not saying everybody is called to entrepreneurship. But what I am saying is this: If you’re sitting at your job and you hate it, and you know that what you’re good at actually works in the marketplace because it’s working for the person you’re working for, and you have the capabilities to build a team, build an infrastructure, and build systems…

THE QUESTION IS, WHY ARE YOU NOT DOING IT?
