He was a creative born and raised in Texas.
He grew up as a knucklehead.
Always getting into trouble.
At one point in his life, he was in a gang.
But by the grace of God, he was able to get out.
He ended up going to prison for a little while.
And while he was there, he started dabbling in something new.
Creating jewelry.
He had this big idea of where he wanted to go.
He had ambition.
He had vision.
But when he got out, life didn’t immediately look like the vision.
He couldn’t find a job.
He didn’t have anywhere to stay.
If you had seen him during that moment of his life, you might have looked at him and thought:
That’s just a gangbanger who went to prison and came out with no future.
But that’s the problem with snapshots.
They only show you one moment.
What you wouldn’t have seen was what was happening in the background.
Every chance he got, he was reading a book.
Watching YouTube videos.
Learning.
Growing.
Understanding finances.
He got one part-time job.
Then he got another one.
And everything he was learning about money, he started applying.
He started stacking his money.
Eventually, he had enough to order everything he needed to start making jewelry.
Then he opened up a Shopify store.
He started talking directly to the people he wanted to serve.
He told his story organically.
He connected his story to his brand.
And eventually…
It went through the roof.
See, when you look at people through a snapshot, you never see what’s happening in the background.
You see where they are.
But you don’t see where they’re going.
You see the chapter.
But you don’t know the whole story.
Life is more like a movie than a single scene.
So the next time you’re tempted to judge somebody based on one moment of their life…
Remember that you might be looking at a snapshot of someone who’s still becoming.
