I Need The Holy Spirit Daily

Oct 18, 2026

I can hear the beat in my head from Tedashii’s song Need It Daily, featuring Derek Minor, formerly known as PRo.

🎶 “The gospel got me so good, I call it super straight.”

That song is a reminder that the Gospel isn’t just something we needed when we first came to Christ. We need God’s grace, truth, and presence every single day.

I’m sitting on the couch, just talking to the Holy Spirit. Just being grateful.

I just got through watching a Reel from Phillip Anthony Mitchell talking about how attendance at a service had reached around 2,000 people. He said pride filled his heart, so he went to a hotel room for five days with a yellow notepad, the Bible, and a jug of water. He sat before the Lord and dealt with the sin in his heart.

I love that about God. He allows us to bring anything to Him.

I often say that the most genuine relationship I have in my life is the one I have with Him because I’m totally vulnerable with Him. And the things I’m not vulnerable about? I ask Him to show me what I’m not being vulnerable about because He sees everything anyway.

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t need Him.

It’s hard to believe that He saw me in the back room at my uncle’s house in 2003, drunk and high, and here I am today, sitting on my couch, talking to the Holy Spirit and being grateful.

I think what really got me about what Phillip Anthony Mitchell shared was the reminder from 1 Corinthians: the one who plants and the one who waters are nothing. God gives the increase.

That was a humbling reminder that I need Him daily.

Whatever He allows you to do in this life, He makes you a part of it for His glory.

And that’s why I can never get to a place where I think I’ve arrived, where I think I’ve done it on my own, or where I believe I no longer need Him.

I NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT DAILY.
