On Duty

Feb 12, 2025

You honestly never know what a season is going to bring. God always seems to do something unexpected. For instance, He has been teaching me about being willing to give more, even when I feel like I don’t have it. I remember thinking, Come on, God, does this really make sense? Yet, in His wisdom, He also showed me that with abundance comes responsibility. If I can learn to give in my lack, then I’ll definitely give in my abundance. Only God can teach lessons like that.

Another powerful lesson God has shown me is the heart of serving. As an entrepreneur in the marketplace, He has called me to serve others through what I do. Let me be real—there are moments when I think I should be charging coaching prices, yet God says, If they don’t have it, give freely. Serve.

And so, I submit: Absolutely, God. I’m on duty.

The other day, I was feeling some type of way. You know, some days just hit differently. That morning, I had a coaching call with someone I had met a few weeks prior. Her story was amazing—it was like God gave me a glimpse of where she was going through the vision she shared with me. Only God can allow someone to see something like that.

Later that morning, I received a text from her, and this is what it said:

Hey Henry! I’m listening to this podcast, and whew, it’s so good. Being an entrepreneur is HARD WORK! I didn’t realize how much I wasn’t doing until listening to this and getting connected to you. I see myself getting closer to becoming what I need to become to be successful. My mind has completely shifted, and even though I have a lot of work ahead of me, I know for sure I’m doing what God is calling me to do. Thank you for helping me!

That text blessed my heart. It was God’s way of reminding me that what He’s called me to do has purpose and is impacting lives. It’s as if He was saying: Stay in it. Stay on duty. Do whatever I put on your heart to do.

So, let me encourage you: Stay on duty. Do whatever God has called you to do. Even when it feels heavy, even when it doesn’t make sense, trust that He has a purpose in it all.

God Bless The Entrepreneur
