Henry C. Murphy is an entrepreneur, brand strategist, author, and e-commerce founder and coach who helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into businesses and build brands from the ground up. As the founder of The Ground Up Academy®, Henry specializes in helping clothing brand founders validate their ideas, establish proof of concept, and develop the strategies needed to grow and scale their businesses.
Henry believes entrepreneurship is about more than making money. It’s about creating opportunities, building something meaningful, and having the freedom to live life on your own terms. His approach to business is grounded in practical experience, faith, creativity, and the belief that you don’t have to figure everything out alone.
Throughout his entrepreneurial journey, Henry has built businesses, launched brands, developed products, navigated setbacks, and learned firsthand what it takes to turn an idea into a business. From founding Unapologetic®, a faith-driven apparel brand, to coaching aspiring entrepreneurs through The Ground Up Academy®, his work is centered on helping founders make informed decisions, test their ideas before investing heavily, and build businesses with a strong foundation.
Today, Henry lives abroad in Vietnam, continuing to build, create, teach, and document what entrepreneurship looks like beyond the traditional office. Through his writing, blog, social media content, and coaching, he shares lessons on e-commerce, clothing brand development, marketing, business ownership, mindset, faith, and the pursuit of freedom.
A husband, father, grandfather, and man of faith, Henry believes that success should support the life you’re building, not consume it. He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs see what’s possible, challenge conventional thinking, and take meaningful steps toward their goals.
Whether he’s sharing a hard truth, telling a story from his entrepreneurial journey, or teaching founders how to move from proof of concept to scale, Henry’s mission remains the same: to help people build with intention, grow with confidence, and create something that matters.
Because building a business is one thing. Building a life you’re proud of is another.
